SSC Exam Patten for Tier I, Tier II & Tier III
SSC exam 2016 will be conducted in three phases – Tier I, Tier II and Tier III
1)
Tier - I — Written Examination of
Objective Multiple Choice TypeTier I is an elimination round required to be taken up by all the candidates. This round screens the candidates for Tier-II examination. Minimum qualifying standards in each component of the Tier-I Examination are set up by the commission based on various factors including category-wise vacancies and category-wise number of candidates.
Marks obtained in Tier-I examination are taken into account for final ranking of candidates.
Note: Negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Tier-ITIER I: EXAM PATTERN |

Tier - II — Written Examination of
Objective Multiple Choice TypeTier II examination of SSC can be taken only by those candidates who score more than the cutt-off marks in Tier I as specified by the commission.
In this exam,
- Paper I and II are compulsory for all categories of posts.
- The paper of
Statistics is only for the candidates who apply for the post of Investigator Gr. II & Compiler
- Paper IV
(General studies) Finance and Economics is only for those candidates who apply for the
post of Assistant Audit Officer.Note: Negative marking of 0.25 marks in Paper-II and 0.50 marks in Paper-I and Paper-III for each wrong answerTIER II: EXAM PATTERN |
