CORRECT ANSWER : Redo log
Discussion Board
Redo log file
A redo log is a file which is part of an Oracle database. When a transaction is committed, the transaction's details in the redo log buffer is written to a redo log file. A circular buffer in the SGA contains information about changes made to the database. The LGWR process writes information from this buffer to the redo log files. A set of redo log files record all changes made to an Oracle database. A database must have at least two redo log files. Log files can be multiplexed on multiple disks to ensure that they will not get lost.
