Solution

Short method,
Divide the pages into three parts.
Because first person writes at double the rate of the second person, as we are dividing the pages into three equal parts the first will complete two parts of it while the second person complete one part of it at the same time.
Therefore, second person completed 535/3 = 178 and 1 is the remainder that is where two persons meet 179th page from last line and
First person completed 178*2 = 356 ..... He will meet at 357th page from the first line.
