Short method
A 9L solution of 50% milk contains 4.5L milk and 4.5L water.
Make 4.5L milk to 30% to get total solution volume
i.e V * 30/100 = 4.5L
V = 450/30 = 15L is the total volume of solution
Here we are adding only water
i.e., 15L - 9L = 6L of water have to be added
