Question is on HTML
This is actually an HTML (or XHTML or HTML5) question. The answer depends on the version of HTML being used. The script element in HTML5 has no ver, version nor language attributes.

Deprecated
This has been deprecated for some time now. Type should be used instead. In firefox you can use "version" too (however not recommended for cross browser usage). Question is now misleading and deprecated... please resolve.
Many thanks!
