What skills would you look for in an automation tester?

I think an Automation Tester should have a good programming aptitude and willingness to abreast with new technologies and tools. So this will enable them to pick up any new technology quiet quickly. They should then apply their automation/tools experience with any given technology. They should also possess good analytical skills, be proactive and quick learner.
