- With the enactment of this act, women will not be scared to get out of an abusive relation and start their life afresh

- India being a patriarchal society, this law will protect the women from various social insecurities

- Unsound and biased judgement in the court, where women is earning more than the men

- Gender biased decision, inconsistency and disputes over property are not taken care of while making the judgement

- Opportunist women could misuse this law in her favour

- The law would be helpful for women who are unemployed, but women in cities who are earning a living for themselves could misuse the law against the men

- The law is upright and useful for women who are dependent upon their husbands for the daily living and basic necessities

- For women, who are earning a living or are earning more than their husband then the case should be looked in and necessary modifications should be done
