In the year 1991, Accel Frontline Limited was founded by a group of entrepreneurs. In 1992, the company started multi-location operations with offices in Coimbatore and Thiruvananthapuram. In the year 1993, Accel took over a computer manufacturing unit from Kothari group of companies.
In 1996, the company started its business in software by setting up an application development centre in Chennai. The company had then started expanding in South India. However, in the year 1997, the company decided to go national and hence acquired a Delhi based company, which provided a base for Accel in all major cities of North India.
In 1998, the company acquired the services business Network Ltd and this provided Accel Limited a national footprint and 250 trained employees. In the year 2000, the company received strategic investment from Intel Capital.
Currently the company has over 2800 employees and provides IT services in more than 100 locations.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible for campus placement
• The student must be pursuing BE, B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc.
• MCA Students from Computer Science Engineering , Information Technology , Electronic and Communication Engineering can apply.
• The student should have minimum of 60% marks in degree.
• The student should not have current arrears.
Placement Process
The placement process has 3 rounds
1. Written Test
2. Technical Interview
3. Personal Interview
The written test is an online test. This test is divided in sections and accordingly time is allotted for the same. There sections are divided into English language test, quantitative test and logical test.
The English language test consists of choosing appropriate words, reading 2-3 comprehensions and solving them, "fill in the blanks", proof reading etc.
The quantitative test includes general aptitude questions which include questions on time and distance, streams, logarithms, probability etc. The logical questions are based on blood relation, sharing, linear arrangement, simple diagrams etc.
Please make sure that you have solved enough questions to clear this test.
The student who successfully clear the written test, go for the technical interview. In this round, the student is mostly asked about the project done by them in their final year. This round is an elimination round.
As the student clears the technical round, the student then goes for the final round, i.e. the HR interview round. In this round the student is mostly asked about the company along with the general questions like tell me something about yourself?
- Hobbies?
- Strength?
- Weakness?
The student should be well prepared in advance to clear the interview.
