Established in 1964, headquartered in Bangalore, India, Bharat Earth Movers Ltd. (BEML) is an Indian public sector undertaking, manufactures a variety of heavy equipment, such as rail coaches & spare parts and mining equipment which is used for earth moving.

In this article, I'm going to share all the useful information required for campus placement at BEML. Preparing well in advance with these placement papers will increase your confidence level!

Selection Process of BEML

The recruitment process of this company has three rounds:

1. Written Test
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview

The first round is Written test. It consists of two sections: Aptitude and Technical.
In aptitude section, the questions are asked from the topics like boats & streams problems, odd one out, direction problems, trains & pipes, cisterns, time and work etc.

In technical section, the questions are asked from Basic Production Engineering and Mechanical Figurative Questions. Technical section questions cover almost all the technical topics along with engineering drawings as well.

Some of the sample questions of Written test are,

1. 3 pumps, working 8 hours a day, can empty a tank in 2 days. How many hours a day must 4 pumps work to empty the tank in 1 day?

2. Surendra's son Prashant is married with Deepshika whose sister Shruti married to Ajay the brother of Prashant. How Shruti is related to Surendra?

Technical Interview Questions asked at BEML

Only those candidates who clear the written test will qualify for the next round i.e Technical Interview.

In technical interview, the questions depends upon the engineering fields of the candidates. If you have done Masters in Technologies, then most of the questions are asked on your thesis.

The questions are asked from the topics like thermal, automobile and I.C. Engines and areas of your interest. Also knowledge on CATIA software, which is generally used for designing in automobile companies, will be an added advantage, as there are certain questions based on this software as well.

Some of the sample questions of technical interview are,

1. What is Hess's Law? State its implications.

2. What is DTSI technology?

3. Tell us about the working of a 6-stroke engine.

HR Interview Questions asked at BEML

The final round is HR interview. In this round, the HR person observes your behavior, your problem handling capability, so keep calm and be confident while speaking in HR interview.

Some of the sample questions of HR interview are,

1. Tell us something about your final year project.

2. State some of your hobbies and interests.

3. What do you know about BEML?
