Can singers be good actors too?
May 16 is here when the election results will be out. People might want to celebrate their favorite team’s victory by watching the new movies. The one movie that is set to release on May 16 is The Xpose, which was previously scheduled for release on May 23. The movie is making all the news as the two top class singers are featured in the major roles in movie. One is Himesh Reshammiya and the other one is Yo Yo Honey Singh. Many people don’t like the thought of seeing singers as actors. They believe that singers should not become actors. What is your perception? Should singers be acting in films?
Yes
• There are many examples in the Hollywood industry where singers have given hit movies. One of them is Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard.
• This world is full of multi talented people. Being a singer does not implies that they cannot become an actor.
• Singers have better connections in the film industry and they can capitalize on any good opportunity where they can show their acting skills.
• Why should at the first place be seen what the actors have been doing previously? The famous actor Rajinikanth was bus conductor and Akshay Kumar was waiter.
• Himesh Reshammiya has saved so much money in his movie the Xpose by singing and composing the songs by own. Don’t forget the acting fee is saved too!
• The famous and loved singers have their own fan following that can attract more audience for the movie.

• Singers cannot become good actors. There is not a single example where singers have made a good flourishing career in acting.
• Singers are fonder of music and then would like the producers to give importance to the movies based on music.
• Taking the singers in the movie can be a big gamble for the producer. There is a high probability of movie not doing well in the theaters.
• It requires dedication and commitment to earn mastery over a single skill. People who want to do everything end up doing nothing.
• Even there are many actors who have good voice and can sing, that necessarily don’t translates them into singing profession. Take the example of Suchitra Krishnamurthy who left her acting career to become a singer.
Conclusion
It is ok to do something different once in a blue moon. But singers should do that at their risk. It is a complete gamble that may or may not bring returns. However, audiences don’t have enough excitement to see the singers in the acting profession. And, in the entertainment industry, audience is always right!

- Again talking with the datum, singing and acting are two different talents, which evidently not all of them have, and switching from one to others might implicate some discrepancy over the other. One should be able to recognize their talents over the opportunities, like till now there are very few transitions in holy or bollywood which have left the fans amused.
Although there has been a case with ashok kumar and kishore kumar in bollywood where both of them gained recognition in the fields opposite to the ones they entered for.So that case comes very rare.

- Singing and acting are two different fields. A singer may have the acting potential; or the actors may have good talent of singing. Still getting both the fields into comparison, or combining both the lines on a parallel move will be utter foolishness.
A person can yield better results by concentrating on their own field. Trying to get famous does not mean poking into some other field. A singer has his own charm, a good zeal and a require a lot of potential to give the proper notes at a single go. This itself gains them enough fame and name, which does not require any other source to support.
People try in varying directions when they feel the fear of failure in their field. They can excel if they keep trying out their potential in their field with utmost concentration. But, this does not deny their acting potential. They can have a good acting talent as well.
The only back drop in case of singers turning into actors is that people or their fan club find it difficult to accept them on some other role
