Can you work independently?
Can you work independently?
Yes, I can work independently without supervision or support from a team, as per the requirement of work.
Do not emphasize on working independently as that will be seen as an inability to work with others.

- There could be different reasons why this question could be put forth in an interview, the obvious one being to see if you can lead a team when required. The interviewer, on the other hand, could be trying to gauge whether you prefer working individually or in a group. Some jobs might even require multitasking. Weight your answer along with the requirements for the job and depending on what they need from you, you can answer with a hint of vulnerability. You can state your comfort zone honestly but it is extremely essential that you assure them that you are more than willing to step out of your zone and take in responsibilities that are vested upon you.
More often the question is meant to know if you possess leadership qualities or would be able to lead a team autonomously. If you have worked individually before you must take this opportunity to talk about how well you handled the work on your own. Giving examples would give them the idea that you have been in the position before and are well acquainted with how things should be done.
Do not brag unnecessarily if you haven't been been in the position before where you had to work autonomously. Just keep it real and honest along with giving a good idea that you can handle the situation well.
