Eligibility Criteria

• The student should be a B.Tech, B.E, MCA graduates with first class marks.
• The student should secure a minimum of 60% from SSC onwards.
• The student should be a regular full time student.
• The student should not have any backlogs.

Selection Process

The selection process is divided in three rounds

• Written Test
• Group Discussion
• Personal Interview

The first round is the written test. This is an online test. Capgemini’s written test is conducted by Cocubes. The student must be alert while answer the test and should keep the tab on time as there is a limited time given to solve the test.

There is a sectional cut-off for each section. If the student is not aware of the correct answer, he/she should not attempt those as a wrong answer would fetch negative marking. It has been observed that in the last few years there are about 25 questions asked in each section.

The written test is divided in three sections:

• Verbal Ability
• Reasoning Ability
• Quantitative Ability

Verbal Ability

In this section the student can expect questions to correct the sentences, idioms, synonyms and antonym. There will be questions on grammatical error. The students are expected to correct the sentences.

A passage would be given and the students are expected to answer questions based on the passage. While reading the passage the student must be very attentive.

Reasoning Ability

In this section the student can expect questions on syllogism, statement and assumption. The student can also expect questions on blood relation, age problems, data interpretation and a few questions based on series.

Quantitative Ability

In this section the students can expect questions based on basic geometric problems. Along with this, there will be problems based on time and work done, distance and speed, number system.

The student should also be prepared with questions based on probability, trigonometry, area, volume. The student must practise a few boat problems, pie charts and arithmetic propagation.

Group Discussion

After the result of the written test, the students who clear the test successfully qualify for the Group discussion round. In this round the students are divided in groups and a topic is given to them. Some of the previous year’s topics are:

• Is IT industry influencing our culture
• Examinations Should be conducted or not

In this round the interviewer expects the students to give valid and relevant points. The student should be good in their communication skills. If he/she is giving out any information about any recent study or facts, the student must be very sure about the information given.
It has been observed that in many companies the written test and the group discussion round acts as an elimination round.

Personal Interview

This is the last round of the selection process. In this round the student can also expect some technical questions. The technical questions can be based on the project done by the student in their final year. The interviewer may ask the student his/her area of expertise and interest. The student must be ready to answer questions based on their interest. He/She should be well prepared to answer questions on Java, Java pointers, C, C++, SQL, JDBC and OOPs.

In this round the interviewer may ask the student to sum up in short what the student has written in their resume or may ask the student to introduce him/herself.

The HR would also ask the students to answer a few puzzles. The interviewer may also ask the candidate his/her family background, academic qualification and also about extracurricular activities done by them.

The HR may ask the student questions such as:

- Aim in life?
- Why should we hire you?
- Why Capgemini?
- Would you be able to promote and sell the product?
