- Introduction
Robotics is one the interesting fields which makes it possible for the design and development of robots possible. Lots of research is being carried out to develop robots that can perform various activities just like humans do. It is considered to be one of the fields of engineering which deals with the design, development and application of robots. It also makes use of computer for their manipulation and processing. Study of robotics allows the creation of Robots which in turn helps us to achieve the goals which we thought once not possible. Robots are used in many industries to speed up the process of manufacturing. They are used to handle heavy materials and used in the field of nuclear science, sea-exploration, servicing of transmission electric signals, designing of bio-medical equipments etc. Robotics rapidly capturing the mind of the scientists to bring more innovations and to make robots for the application of computer integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biological mechanics, software engineering and other disciplines.
Performance and growth of industry in India
Growth of Robotics is picking up, but it is not being a developed field till now. The field is very interesting and grabbing lots of attention in India and worldwide as well. Robots are being made by the use of principles of robotics are used everywhere today from commerce field to home, from security to rescue fields, from weather information to exploration to unknown location etc. The use of robots is being increased and used in military area. Lots of innovations in this area are being processed to make a better future. Many new techniques are being adopted to popularize the field of robots. It has future scope and perspective to increase the standard of living and quality of our life. Robots are being used in space for exploration and India is on the verge to get this technology and its implementation.
Options and Opportunities
Lots of opportunities in this field are being generated over the years. Robotics is a field of engineering that deal with design and application of robots and the use of computer for their manipulation and processing. Robots are used in industries for speeding up the manufacturing process. They are also used in the field of nuclear science, sea-exploration, servicing of transmission electric signals, designing of bio-medical equipments etc. Robotics requires the application of computer integrated manufacturing, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, biological mechanics, software engineering and other engineering disciplines.
