Description :
-Semi-persistent scheduling (SPS) is used mainly for voice applications.
-This will reduce PDCCH allocations .By reducing the Pdcch allocation , we can schedule more no of UE’s .
-This will be useful for periodic lower data rate.
-This module involves Setup,Activation , Release , Reactivation , Reconfiguring the SPS setup in downlink & uplink .

Role : Design , Develop , Unit test & System Testing in target board ( Cavium-Octeon-36CA) for Pdcch Allocation ( Search space) module in L2-L3 level.

Description :
To do effective scheduling for multiple RNTI’s ,the eNB –RRM scheduler has to give allocations to all UE’s in Pdcch based on UE’s channel condition in unicast allocation , multicast allocation & broadcast allocation. The allocation in PDCCH uses CCE which can be optimized.
CCE optimization is required for scheduling more no of UE’s in same subframe if resources available.

Description :

-SR request is used by UE to send scheduling request when it doesn’t have BSR grant.
-Once it gets BSR grant UE reports to the eNB about the status of buffer ( uplink data ) .There are different types of BSR available like regular,periodic , padding & truncated BSR.
