DGCS permits use of electronic equipments in flight
The DGCA in its recent ruling has held that now customers can use portable electronic portable devices such as cellphones or laptops in flight mode during all phases of flight. They earlier had to keep such devices switched off through the flight.
Chitra Magimaraj wins world snooker championship
Indian player Chitra Magimaraj won the world women’s senior snooker title by defeating Alena Asmolova of Bearus in the World snooker championship held in UK. The former World Billiards champion Chitra has so far bagged three gold, three silver and three bronze medals in the WLBSA event.

World book and copyright day was observed across the globe on 23 April. This day has been in existence since 1995 to raise awareness about importance of books and promote reading, publishing and copyright.

BPO service provider Genpact is all set to acquire Pharmalink consulting, a global provider of regulatory services in life sciences, for an undisclosed amount.. Genpact’s life sciences and pharmaceutical services include medical documentation, regulatory submission and compliance, pharmacovigilance, chemistry manufacturing compliance, medical contact centres, among others.
