Arvind Kejriwal wins the TIME 100 influential personalities list


Arvind Kejriwal wins the readers poll among the Time's 100 most influential people of the year list. He has defeated Narendra Modi to emerge as the winner and Mr. Modi remains on no.2 in the list. He has received a total of 261,114 “yes” votes from readers as against 164,572 approving votes for Indian PM candidate. Katy Perry (3), Justin Bieber (4) and Laverne Cox (5) are the other three in the top 5.

Robot by USA: - “Atlas”


US have unveiled a life sized humanoid robot named “Atlas”. The robot is 6.2ft life saver machine and is made to help save lives during disaster or natural calamities. It has been made by Defence Advanced Research Projects Agency. (DARPA)

New CEO of Nokia


Indian born Rajiv Suri has been appointed as the new CEO of Nokia, the Finalnd based mobile handset company. He has been working with Nokia and was earlier the CEO of Nokia Solutions and Networks.

Indian Ambassador for ASEAN


Suresh Kumar Reddy is all set to become the first Indian ambassador of ASEAN (association of south east asian nations) and East Asia Summit. Currently, he is the Indian ambassador to Iraq. The present trade between ASEAN and India is around $80 billion. ASEAN is a political and economic grouping of ten countries located in Southeast Asia which are :- Indonesia, Malaysia, thePhilippines, Singapore, Thailand Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia,Laos, and Vietnam.

Delhi to become Zero Diversionary Airport


Delhi will soon become a Zero diversionary airport after a committee appointed by the centre has recommended so. Last year, in winter a lot of flights were divertd due to heavy fog which caused great trouble to passengers.

Global Information Technology Report


India ranks at 83rd spot out of 148 economies in terms of utilizing information and technology for fuelling growth according to the 13th global technology report. Finland ranks at number 1 in the list followed by Singapore at 2nd and Sweden at 3rd. This report is published by World Economic Forum.
