The Vice President of India Shri M. Hamid Ansari released the Hindi Translation of a set of books entitled “Andhvishwas Unmoolan - ‘Aachaar, Volume-1’, ‘Vichaar, Volume-2’, and Siddhanth, Volume-3” authored by late Dr. Narendra Dabholkar. The translation has been done by Dr. Chanda Girish and Dr. Sunil Kumar Lawate is the Editor of the books.

Medicinal uses of Panchagavya and its individual ingredients including cow urine are mentioned in the authoritative books of Ayurveda listed in the First Schedule of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940. Its therapeutic uses in Ayurveda include Krimi Roga, Kushtha, Kandu, Shoola, Gulma, Udara Roga, Anaha, Shotha, Pandu, Kamala, Vasti Roga, Kasa, Shavasa, Atisara, Mutraroga etc.

Allocation of foodgrains to 11 States/Union Territories (UTs) namely, Bihar, Chandigarh, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab and Rajasthan has started under the Act based on the preparedness and identification of beneficiaries for coverage under the Act, reported by them.
