Mining engineer have to keep a track of all the operations that are happening in the mine. They look after the mine safety, ventilation, water supply power and communication and equipment maintenance. Mining engineer in their day to day life must ensure environmental safety as their activity shouldn’t cause any damage to its natural surroundings. They help in designing and development of the new mining equipments. As digging of mine results in a pile of rocks and soil, mining engineer needs to decide where to put this pile. If you work is in an underground mine then you have to design mine shafts and tunnels. They work as a supervisor in supervising mining operation. Their day to day job also requires them to train the crew of workers and supervisors that will help in mining operations. Checking a mine for poisonous gases before they start mining is a very important thing to keep in mind as a mining engineer. Repairing and inspecting of mining equipment also conjure in their day to day activity. After the mining is done restoration of land is also a task performed by a mining engineer, so that the land can be used for other various purposes.
