Does ICSI provide training or internship to students pursuing The Company Secretary Course?

Yes, ICSI arranges for training for the students who have passed the intermediate/final stages of the course. They would have to either do an internship with a company or with practicing company secretaries with the institute for this purpose.
There is a mandatory training period that a student has to undergo. The duration for this training is 15 months or more depending upon the rules of the institute. If someone has a relevant experience in accordance to the Companies Secretaries Regulations then they can be exempted from undergoing practical training.

Training or internship is an integral part of any course and ICSI makes sure that one does undergo complete practical training to be a successful company secretary. Also, it is very important to possess good analytical and communication skills and should be well versed in English.
