What kind of remuneration can I expect while working in the aeronautics field?

Job opportunities in aeronautics field are high both in India and abroad. Most of the companies recruit the students directly from campus. That also plays an important role in determining
your salary package. The salary is dependent on the academic performance in college or at the time of post graduation and also on the skill set of individuals. Campus placements play a huge role in terms of salary package. Salaries vary from different post to post in the same industry. Salaries in government or public sectors or government aided such as HAL, NAL start their salary package at around 2,00,000 p/a to 2,50,000 p/a at a normal post but this can increase to a higher level depending upon the knowledge and experience.

Salary package in private sectors vary from that of the government sectors. They start from 3,00,000 p/a and go upto 5,00,000 p/a. Designation is also an important aspect when it comes to determining salary. GM of a reputed company would get more than 12,00,000 p/a, aircraft design engineer would get somewhere between 7,00,000 to 9,00,000 p/a, aircraft nalysis engineer would get approximately the same salary as that of the aircraft design engineer, technical publication author meanwhile gets around 2,50,000 to 5,00,000 p/a.
Similarly a job in NASA can fetch a starting salary of US$ 100,000 to US$ 150,000 for a beginner with right credentials and as we go up the salary package keeps on increasing.
