What is the salary package that I can expect out of this job?

The package that you can expect is dependent upon your own kills, knowledge and experience. The salary given in the field of mining engineering is the highest among all the existing engineering professions in India. If you have just done your graduation and a fresher in this industry then you can expect somewhere around Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 30,000/- per month with other incentives. The salary package begins to rise with the increase in your educational qualification. A person with higher qualification degree or two to three years of experience can expect a salary higher than the fresher’s i.e. somewhere around Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 50,000/- per month. Fresh graduates from IIT’s and NIT’s even command far higher salaries than their other engineering college students.
