ELICO Placement Paper - Selection Process and Test Pattern
About ELICO
ELICO Ltd. was established in 1960 and is headquartered in Hyderabad, India. It is an Analytical Instruments Designs and Manufacturing company. It is also certified with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 27001 standards.
In this section, I will be talking about the selection and interview process conducted in campus placement at ELICO.
Selection Process at ELICO
The selection process at ELICO consists of three rounds:
1. Written Test
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview
First round is Written Test. It consists of three sections, i.e., Quantitative Aptitude, General English and Technical portion. Total marks alloted for the test is 100 and time alloted is 1 hour. This is an elimination round but do not have negative marking.
Some sample questions asked from the sections are:
1. If a:b = 2:3 and b:c = 5:7, then find a:b:c.
2. Choose the appropriate meaning of the idiom/phrase - Caught between two stools
(a) Met with an accident (b) Difficulty in choosing between two alternatives (c) Struck in a calamity (d) None of these
3. During dynamic memory allocation in CPP, new operator returns _____ value if memory allocation is unsuccessful.
Technical Interview at ELICO
The second round is Technical Interview. In interview part, the questions asked from the candidates are mainly focused on the sections like, C, C++, DBMS and other technologies.
Questions you can expect are:
1. How should a constructor handle a failure?
2. Explain the various types of normalization.
To crack the technical interview, you should have enough knowledge about the sections included.
HR Interview at ELICO
Last round is HR Interview. This interview will be based on projects, internships and general awareness. It is to check your communication skills and confidence.
