Eligibility criteria and getting an admission into Sports Engineering at Victoria University

I want to pursue a career in sports engineering from Victoria University, Melbourne, Australia. Though I would be applying there after 10+2, yet I am a little worried about selection and clearing the admission procedures. Which is the other college where I should apply for keeping a safe side in case I don’t make it to Victoria University? Please provide detail on their eligibility criteria.

Apart from Victoria University, you can also apply at Loughborough University’s Sports Technology Institute (STI). They have recently launched a three years BSc degree in the discipline covering subjects such as sports science, design, technology, and engineering science. The programme is meant for research based course into the gradations of sports equipment and facilities including design, manufacture, materials, mechanics, human sciences, measurement and computing as well. The first two years of the course are focused around these subjects and are taught using a permutation of lectures, tutorials and project work along with a considerable number of practical, laboratory sessions. In the final year, students are able to modify their learning to their individual requirements through a choice of optional modules and a wide selection of individual projects.

In order to qualify for an admission, you should have an overall class XII score of 80% or 33 points with 6, 6 and 5 at higher level in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. They need to provide academic evidence of a good level of mathematical ability, for example, a score of 5 in mathematics at standard level for an IB diploma and meet the minimum English language requirements. Their fee for international students if £17,300. The university also offers scholarships worth 25% of the program tuition fee for international students. In addition, the school gives competitive scholarships on the basis of intake qualifications as well as the progress through the first year of the degree. Good luck!
