ERICSSON Placement Paper - Selection Process and Test Pattern
About Ericsson
Ericsson is a multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company. The company was founded by Lars Magnus Ericsson in 1876. It offers services, software and infrastructure in Information and Communications Technology (ICT) for telecommunications operators, traditional telecommunications and Internet Protocol (IP) networking equipment etc.
In this section, I am going to share the selection and interview processes conducted in campus placement at Ericsson.
Selection Process at Ericsson
The whole placement process have three rounds and each round is eliminatory round.
The selection process at Ericsson consists of three rounds:
1. Online Test
2. Technical Interview
3. HR Interview
The first round is Online Test. It consists of following sections:
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Logical Reasoning
- English
The questions have no negative marking but, correctness and time management is important to qualify the test.
Some sample questions that are asked:
1. Two trains A and B of 150m and 300m, run at speed of 65km/hr and 80km/hr respectively, in opposite direction to each other. Find the time required to cross each other after the moment they met?
2. Jenny went 35 meters towards east from Mary’s house. She turns left and walks 15 meters. Now, she takes a left turn and walks 80 meters. Finally, she turns left and walks for 15 meters. How far Jenny is from Mary’s house?
3. Spot the error: No sooner did i)/ the teacher enter ii)/ the class iii)/ then the students came. iv)/ No error v)
Technical Interview at Ericsson
Second round is Technical Interview. In this, the interviewer asks questions from Physics and some practical based examples. You can expect questions like,
1. What is a load curve?
2. An industrial consumer has a load pattern of 2000 kW 0.8 lag for 12 hours and 1000 kW unity power factor for 12 hours. What is the load factor?
HR Interview at Ericsson
The last round is HR Interview. In this round, be honest while answering some well known HR questions. HR person tests your thinking and reasoning capabilities.
