Fidelity, one of the largest financial services providers, they specialise into investment management, retirement planning, portfolio guidance, brokerage, benefits outsourcing and other financial products.
For recruiting freshers the company prefers graduates from B.E/ B.Tech stream with specialisation into IT, computer science, and Electronics and Communication. Additionally, not only does the qualification matter but also there is certain cut off marks that they need to obtain in their graduation exams or a minimum of 80% marks in their 10th or 12th standard.
The selection process usually consists of 3 stages, starting with aptitude test followed by technical round of interview and lastly ending with managerial HR Round.
In the aptitude test section there are somewhere around 30 questions consisting of technical as well as aptitude and you get 45 minutes to finish this section. It has been observed in the past years that there are 18 questions from the aptitude section whereas some 12 odd questions from the technical section.
The aptitude section questions are based on topics like, age problems, average, speed, compound interest, distance, probability, profit and loss, ratio and proportion, sum, time and work.
The technical questions are based on the topics of C, C++, Java, UNIX, Data structure and RDBMS concept’s.
Those candidates who clear the aptitude test are further shortlisted for the technical round of interview. The interviewer judges the candidate and asks verbal questions on various technologies like C, C++, Java etc.
Once you cross this round you are then interviewed by the HR Manager which is also the HR round and the final stage in the selection process. In this round, general questions based on the candidate’s introduction, career plans, hobbies, educational background, interests have been observed to be asked.
The key to crack the interview as well as the technical round is by giving clear and precise answers. The evaluation of each round is calculated while deciding on the final selection, hence you got to give your best shot in each and every round.
