Friendship Day, the day dedicated for the friends is mainly one of the various traditions of the western culture incorporated and imbibed by the youth of the present generation in India. Not only in India, but this day is adopted by many of the Asian countries in the recent decades. Friendship Day was promoted Joyce Hall, the founder of Hallmark cards in 1930 when the friendship day was celebrated by sending cards. Though its charm is lost in Europe very soon, but the trend is still prevailing in Asian countries. Friendship Day was celebrated with great eagerness and enthusiasm, but many people feel that Friendship Day has lost its charm now. Is that true?
