How can one get admission to the course in Fishery Science?
After completing higher secondary with PCB as subjects, the candidate can join a four year degree programme from any established and renowned college and university. Degree i.e. Bachelor of Fisheries Science, offered in this field also includes practical training and experience sessions at the end of the programme. The subjects that these courses generally cover are inland and freshwater aquaculture, mariculture, industrial fisheries, fish procession and post harvest technology etc.
Admission to various central Institutes of Fisheries is through all India level common entrance test conducted by ICAR (Indian Council of Agriculture Research).
A two year post graduation course of M.F.Sc. can be done after completing bachelor’s degree.
