Marketing a service business is a challenging task. Unlike selling a visible, tangible product, in case of services,the organisation needs to sell an intangible idea to the people. The marketing of service businesses therefore largely depends upon the quality of customer service rendered to the customers by the organisation. Generally companies relate experiences of the customers- the testimonials provided by them after availing the service of the company. In fact recently I happened to come across a customer suggestion box at the airport in Bangalore . Cell phone service companies like Vodaphone or Airtel send sms to its customers asking them to reply toll free as to whether they are satisfied with the services of the company or not.
