I am in STD XII science with PCM and aspire to be an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. Is it necessary to do graduation first before applying for a diploma program in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering? Please suggest me if I can directly opt for this program right after 10+2. Also list the best institutes from where I can pursue this course.

There are basically two career paths towards becoming an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer. In the first path, you complete your 10+2 in science with PCM and then opt for a graduation (B.Sc) followed by the diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering. However, you can also opt for this program right after 10+2 in science stream. Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering is a course of 3 years 6 months and training is given in mechanical maintenance and in Avionics. Please note that one needs to be 20 years of age to qualify for this program. You will have to be exceptionally good in mathematical ability and precision to qualify for this career.
