How do I get into NID or NIFT to study jewellery designing?

How do I get into NID or NIFT? Is there an entrance exam?

NID Design Aptitude Test for GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) is conducted by National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad for admission to 4 year under-graduate programme in Design. Approximately 100 seats are available (reserved category included). The entrance consists of 2 phases:

• Phase 1: Design aptitude test (conducted in January)
• Phase 2: Studio Test, Personal Interview and Portfolio Presentation (conducted in April). For further details log on to http://www.nid.edu/

NIFT also conducts entrance examination for Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. The examination is normally conducted in the month of February. For more details please visit www.nift.ac.in.
