How to obtain Private Pilot License (PPL)?
After obtaining SPL one will be assigned an instructor to start flying lessons in aviation. In this the basics of flying are taught and the instructor accompanies the candidate on flights.
Total 60 hours of flying training is required. Of which at least 20 hours should be solo flying and 5 hours should be cross-country flights.
Also one has to appear for the written theory examinations in subjects like Air Regulations, Aviation Meteorology, Air Navigation, Aircraft Engines and Seamanship and obtain the medical fitness certificate from the AFCME or IAM.
Eligibility: 10+2 and medical fitness certificate from AFCME OR IAM. The age requirement is 17 Years.
Per hour cost of flying is Rs 3,500. Thus the total cost of obtaining a PPL which requires 60 hours of flying will be a cost Rs 2 lakh.
