India’s indigenous diabetes testing kits launched
The health ministry of India launched two indigenous and affordable diabetes testing kits. The country-made glucometers will cost between Rs.500 to Rs.1000. These are two kits named as “Suchek” and “QuickcheQ. Where suchek has been developed by IIT-Mumbai quickcheq has been made by Birla Institute of Technology, Hyderabad and manufactured by biosense technologies. These kits will lessen the cost of diabetic checkup by 90%. It is to be noted that India is the second largest country after China penetrated with diabetes with more than 65 million cases of diabetes in the country.
