The career of a commercial pilot is highly ranked career with the exciting and adventurous job of aviation. A career in aviation is the most cherished career among the youngsters since it has been the dream of almost child to become a pilot. This is because whenever they see planes, helicopters or other flying machines in the sky they always dream to fly. But thankfully the expansion of aviation services in India the childhood dream of these youngsters is now easy to achieve. Though this profession is high rated career but it requires intensive training and hard work to become a good commercial pilot.
This is a very specialized job which requires knowledge of air navigation, interpretation of meteorological reports, operations of sophisticated electronic and mechanical controls, leading the aircraft under adverse circumstances.
Since it is a specialized job it requires special training and knowledge.
What are the basic requirements?
1) You must complete your 10+2 system or its equivalent with a minimum of 50 per cent marks in Mathematics and Physics.
2) Your minimum age must be 16 years to be eligible for a Private Pilot License and 17 for a Commercial Pilot License.
3) Your vision in one eye must be perfect. In general medical terminology, it is called 6/6 eyesight. In the other eye, you could have an imperfection of 6/9, which must be correctable to 6/6.
4) General physical fitness is essential. You must not have any disease that can hamper normal function.
