List out the common general precautions given in reference to a PC.

Some of the common precautions to be followed in reference to a PC are as follows:

- Prior to switching of the mains the power of the monitor, CPU, printer and other peripheral devices should be put off first.

- Prior to the removal of any peripheral devices the power and other connecting cords must be disconnected.

- While disconnecting a cable it must not be pulled by the wire, instead the user should disconnect using the connector head.

- Any drives which have a disk mounted need to be ejected before the system is powered down.
