Morals and Values have lost their meaning in India

Morals and Values have lost their meaning in India

India is considered to be as a country where parents are considered as god, cow is considered as mother, and the decision of the parents is considered as a final verdict. Recently, most of the parents are seen complaining about the impact of western culture on their children. Are morals and values losing their shine in India? Is it just a myth of parents or a reality?

Yes

• When kids starts talking about the sex and the other things even before their teenage then it can still be tolerated by parents, but if kids starts getting physical at the age of eleven then certainly nothing can be worst for parents.

• Drinks and the Saturday parties have become an integral part of youth. Its ok to party but indulging in drinks, drugs and cigarettes shamelessly is not acceptable.

• Walk with the time and change with the world, wear the small clothes but don’t let them go so short that parents feels ashamed.

• Check the latest statistics of last few years and you can find how drastically the juvenile crimes have increased in India.

• Rap cases are increasing day by day in the rural as well as in the urban areas signaling the worst for the country.

• Youngsters get married and want to live alone without their parents. It is the latest trend in India.

No

• Exposure to unnecessary information is killing the innocence of the youth. Somehow it is not their fault but fault of society.

• When parents themselves are following the same culture then they cannot blame the kids for the same behavior.

• Sachin Tendulkar is called the youth icon and why not he has done all the good for country. The best part is he is never a part of advertisement that promotes the wrong product.

• It is the just the change in culture that is seen in India. It is marking an economic transition where some changes are acceptable as per the changing time.

• Youngsters are forced to leave their parents and native place to find a good job in other cities. It is not a choice but a necessity.

Conclusion

It is not that the Indian youth is losing their morals and values. They are just not ready to accept the orthodox ways of living and earning. Things change with time and every previous generation thinks that the next generation is spoiled and don’t have any moral and values left in them.

  • Morals and values were the basis of India long back. With the growing modernization and the breakthrough of corruption in India, we have lost all our morals and values. Morals are imparted since childhood. A child not only learns the morals by the texts and stories we narrate, but mainly by watching the approach to the circumstances by the family members and at the school.

Though we narrate good morals but many a times fail to follow the good path of honesty which the child learns since childhood. Though not corrupt, many people support the same forcibly by giving bribe to get the things settled for themselves.

The morals that get deviated right from the childhood, gets altered to varying magnitude from person to person during the upbringing. As a resultant, everyone gets away from the morals and values. Cheating, bribing, forgery, scandals, corruption, physical assault, robbery; all these words have become so common in India that a person can hardly spend a full day with confidence to live a peaceful life.

People are keen towards getting their tasks completed at the earliest by hook or crook. Till the time the Indian mentality continues on the same grounds, we cannot expect any improvement in our morals and values towards life.
