Pre-requisites to apply for IBPS CWE online.

What are the Pre-Requisites for applying online to CWE - IBPS?

Before applying online candidate should be ready with the following documents:

• Candidates should be ready with his/her scanned photograph and scanned signature in order to ensure that the signature belongs to the person in the photograph.

• Candidates should be ready with the necessary required document to make online payment of the application fee/intimation charges. CBS candidates or those who are doing offline payment should be ready with their fee payment challan and then remit the necessary application fees/intimation charges.

• Candidates should have valid personal E-mail ID and this ID should be kept active till the result of CWE examination is declared. IBPS may send call letters to the candidates through this registered E-mail ID. Those candidates who do not have valid E-mail ID should create the new one and keep it active till the declaration of result.

What are the specifications that need to be followed in order to scan photograph and signature for IBPS?

Specification for Photograph image:

• Candidate should have recent passport size coloured photograph.

• Picture should be in colour with light coloured background preferably white background.

• Candidate should look straight in the camera.

• If the picture is taken on a bright sunny day then sun should be behind the candidate or he/she should take photograph in the shade so that the candidate is not squinting and there are no harsh shadows.

• Ensure that there is no red-eye.

• If candidates wear glasses then there should not be any reflections and eyes should be clearly visible.

• Caps, hats, dark glasses and religious headwear that cover his/her face are not accepted.

• Preferably dimension of the photograph is 200 x 230 pixels and size of the file should be between 20kb and 50kb.

• Size of the scanned photograph should not be more than 50kb. If the size is more than 50kb then the scanner should be adjusted during the process of scanning.

Specification for Signature image:

• Candidate should sign with black ink pen on white paper.

• Signature is to be signed only by the candidate. This signature will be used in the hall ticket or wherever required. If the signature of the candidate on the answer sheet do not match with the signature on the hall ticket then the candidate will be disqualified.

• Preferably dimension of the signature is 140 x 60 pixels and size of the file should be between 10kb and 20kb.

• Size of the scanned signature should not be more than 20kb.

How to scan the photograph and signature to apply for IBPS CWE?

Set the scanner resolution to minimum of 200 dots per inch (dpi). Set colour to true colour. Set the file size as mentioned. Crop the image in the scanner to the edge of the photograph/signature, then use the upload editor to crop the image to the final size.

All the images should be saved in JPG or JPEG format. Dimension of the image is checked by listing the folder file or by moving the mouse over icon of file image. Image of the photo and signature in the prescribed format and size is easily obtained if MS Windows/MS Office is used.

If the scanned photograph and signature is in any other format then use the “Save As” option in the File menu to save the images in .jpg format. Size of the image is reduced in the prescribed form by using crop and then resize option. Similar options are also available in other photo editor. Error message is displayed if the size of the file is not in the prescribed format.
