Interior Design can be taken up as a specialization course within 4 year Bachelor of Fine-Arts (BFA) programs. A 5 year professional program in Interior Design is also offered in the School of Interior Design in the Centre for Environmental Planning and Technology (CEPT) in Ahmadabad. To undertake this program you need to be a 10+2 with a 55% aggregate in Math/Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English. There are other part time one year diploma programs offered by various colleges in India, which requires least qualification. There are some private learning institutions that offer certificate courses in interior design whose requirement for qualification is a Secondary school degree.
