- Rahul Gandhi was not one of the aspirants of becoming the CM but was behind their campaigning.

- He has earned the right to control and monitor the actions in UP irrespective of who became the CM.

- He has promised the state to be set on course of development and this has assured the voters of UP to vote for Congress.

- It is because of him that youth have come out to vote, increasing the number of voters in favor of Congress.

- There are many senior members who believe that Rahul Gandhi is not a potent force and rule out a possibility of him controlling the CM.

- He is not weighed much among the senior members and thus, exclude the possibility of a remote control mechanism in UP.

- This signifies the undermining of democracy and would result in leaders not fulfilling their promises.
