Revert back or Return back
Revert means to return to something that was being done earlier or to go
back. It is often used wrongly in combination. In fact, using revert with back
is repetitive and therefore, superfluous. So, when you say revert, just say that and stop without adding “back” to it.
Using
back along with
return is redundant.
Return, without back, is much better. One can "come back" or "go back" or "return", all meaning going
to a former condition, period or sbuject, but never
return back. Many people use
return back unthinkingly and commit an error.
