We recently received your letter to claim coverage on your 5 year old car.We are sorry to learn of your misfortune about the theft of your car.
But with great we have to inform you that we cannot provide you the insurance coverage. As your car is 5 year old it does not come under the insurance claim policy. We have to remind to that the car insurance you had was a complimentary one, which was given to you by our company during the time of car purchase. This complimentary insurances’ validity was only 2 years. Since your car has passed that duration we will not be able to provide any insurance coverage.
There multiple reminders sent to you about the expiry of your insurance and urging you to renew it but there was no reply from your end. Thus we are extremely sorry to decline your request for insurance coverage.

Sample declination letter insurance coverage
This is with reference to your letter dated 6th March regarding insurance claim of Rs.1,25,000/- for your vehicle no.MH 02-2456 , Model-Honda CRZ with our company.
You had informed that your vehicle had met with an accident at Bandra terminus and suffered extensive damage. Documents and related photographs sent by you about the incident have received by our office. Field inspection has been carried out by our agents and relevant details have been verified.
However, it is found that insurance cover for your vehicle has expired 2 days before the incident on 4th March. As per clause 4-D of our insurance agreement all documents have to be fully and correctly submitted to the insurance office.
In view of the above facts, the claim for insurance coverage to your vehicle is hereby declined.
