On March 15, exactly 37 years after my difficult first day with ABC Industries, I will be leaving my desk for the last time. I have sincerely appreciated the association I have had with the company over the past several years, so it is with some reluctance that I write this letter, I have loved my job and co-workers and will truly miss each of you dearly. I have gained a great deal about wisdom and sane approach to problem-solving under difficult conditions. My life has been greatly enriched by the kindness and encouragement so many of you have shown to me.
I know the management has been considering Mr. Devesh Kapoor for my position. Mr. Kapoor has worked for us for 15 years in our sales department. He has provided our customers with top-of-the-line sales and service. We are pleased to have him in our office, and I am sure he will do an excellent job in servicing. I feel good that I am leaving my work in his capable hands.
Leaving will not be entirely easy. It has been a pleasure to work with all of you. I wish you all the best!

With mixed feelings, I would like to inform my co-workers that I shall be leaving XYZ Ltd for pursuing my passion career. I have been selected in a reputed singing reality show. I shall have to leave for Mumbai instantaneously and hence quit my job.
Those who know me are well acquainted with my singing talent and how badly I wanted to be a playback singer. Opportunity did not favour me since I was all too busy making a career of my parent’s choice. Now that I have an excellent opportunity to live my dream career, I chose to give it a try.
It was a great pleasure to work with you all. I can’t thank enough for your guidance and support that made me like my job even though my heart was somewhere else. I appreciate your patience in handling my mistakes and mood swings. I shall miss the times I spent at XYZ amid all you wonderful people. You helped me realize what I am made for and what I am capable of.
I am grateful to XYZ for giving me an opportunity to enhance my skills with you. I expect to stay in touch with all of you. I shall be sending you all my new contact details as soon as I get them.
Wish me luck for my dream career and do remember me for all the good times we had together. I shall be leaving for Mumbai on (date). My last working day at XYZ Ltd. shall be on (date).
