This is in relation to the annual get-together of our company that is held every year to bring our on-shore and offshore team together for some fun interaction and a nice time. Moreover, this would be an opportunity to know about the lives of our onshore colleagues who are mostly on a voyage for a major part of the year.

Mr. Liu Jiahong, Chairman, XYZ Shipping Ltd., would preside over the event with his welcome note to everyone present.

Therefore, I hereby take the pleasure of inviting you and your families for the same on 23rd March,’14 at the Hyatt Regency, Mumbai. The ball would be set to roll post 4.30p.m. This would be followed by a cocktail dinner.

Sample invitation letter for a get together

We, ABC School students union, take this opportunity to invite all our pass out seniors for the Alumni 2014, the old students reunion. This is the first time we have started with the Alumni meet, to have a get together and share the stories from our great seniors.

We have set up a Alumni association for which our 2010 batch Mr. XYZ is the President and Ms. PQR its General Secretary. We are looking forward to complete the election of the association members in this get together, who could co-ordinate and share the various life events from everyone from time to time.

The event will be held on our School Grounds on 16th Mar’14, the second Sunday of this month. We expect the program to start from 10:00 A.M. in the morning and wind up by 9:30 P.M. in the evening. We have to make great efforts to seek permission from the Principal for organizing this event at our School grounds beyond school working hours.

The event will include dance, music, and games. There will be contents for songs, dance, painting, art work etc. A whole lot of entertainment. You can also look forward to some gossip competitions. We have also arranged for the sports arena, if someone interested in playing with their old friends, remembering good old school days.

We have arranged for the lunch, mid time tea snacks and the dinner. 1 hour has been allotted in the evening after tea time for discussing and electing members for this association. All that is expected from you is your precious time and presence to make this event a grand success.

Also this would be the main key point for us to seek permission from the school authorities, for organizing this Alumni Meet every year. Looking forward to all your presence without fail.
