This is to inform that the Ministry of Railways is hereby in need for vendors who can assure an efficient and effective delivery of railway coaches as per the directions of the authority from time to time.

The quotations are invited for a period of 10 years contract (ending 2024). Vendors are expected to go through the attached rules and policies before applying for the same. Upon thorough scrutiny and clarification of the applicants, the shortlisted vendors would be invited to attend the bidding to be held at the address mentioned below on the 31st March,’14, 12.30p.m. onwards.

Sample invitation letter for Bids

We, ABC and Sons, invites quote for the sale of office furnishings. The items for bid being 10 desktop tables and 20 revolving chairs. The bidding starts from 5th Mar’14 and ends by 10th Mar’14.

The articles are well maintained without wear and tear. The desktop tables are non-glossy mica finish with matt effect. It is teak coloured with inbuilt paper rack and separate space for printer and CPU. They were polished only a month back. The chairs are comfort cushioned with black Rexene cover. They have adjustable height and slant positions. The chairs have a round base preventing it from lynching sidewise.

The minimum bid for desktop table is Rs.5000/- each and for the revolving chair is Rs.1500/- each. Bids lower than the quoted amount will not be entertained. Bids are invited on the sealed envelope, sent to our collection team latest by 10th Mar’14 at 5:00 P.M. The highest bid will be given high priority.

We have enclosed the snaps for both the desktop table and the revolving chair. Those interested can walk in to have a personal look at our office between 10:00 A.M. and 3:00 P.M.
