I Ravi Kumar am one of the students of management launcher undergoing the CAT preparation program here. As proposed earlier by the counselor at the time of joining, I want to claim for my early bird discount and reference joining discount in the total fees paid for this course preparation. Ms. Singh initially told me that all the students joining before 15th April are liable to get and early bird discount of Rs. 1500. In addition to that she told that if I will make any of my friends or references also join the course, I will further get a discount of Rs. 1000. Taking care of all the commitments done at that time I am eligible to get Rs. 2500 of discount in my total fees, which I would like to adjust in this month’s fees.
Today morning I asked our counselor Ms. Singh to kindly adjust all the discounts in this quarter fees but she denied saying that I need to get your approval. Due to certain financial problem in my family, I am running short of money this time and thereby request you to please send your approval to Ms. Singh so that she can make the adjustments accordingly. For your reference please find attached the filled in form to claim for the discounts.
If required then please share a suitable time wherein I can come and meet you.

Sample letter requesting a discount
As part of our college annual day celebrations, we students have been given the opportunity to set up stalls and sell food items. We anticipate a huge crowd and hence would need to buy ingredients in bulk to avoid shortage at the last minute.
The list of ingredients along with the quantity is enclosed. We are hoping for you to provide us a good discount, since we are buying in bulk.
