We recently came across your appeal regarding people suffering from the recent earthquake. It is really heartbreaking that many people are without shelter, food and water and the basic necessity. It’s amazing how the volunteers of your organization are helping them rebuild their lives.

We at Abc organization strongly support your mission and attached is a check of amount Rs75000/- we are really glad to be able to help you in some way.

We appreciate the dedication and commitments of the people of your organization are helping those affected in the earthquake with food, shelter, and employments. It’s wonderful to read that the funds you received was utilized for basic necessities of the people suffering and you already started building the houses for them.

We salute you for all the hard work your organization has been doing. Please continue your hard work with the knowledge that many are supporting you and wishing for your success. Keep up the good work.

Sample letter to accompany a donation

In memory of my grandmother who passed away last month, our family would like to contribute an amount of Rs. XXXXXX towards the development of charitable free hospital for the poor and underprivileged section of our city.

Our grandmother was a generous woman who always made contributions in providing a better living for the poor and needy. She had a vision of seeing India someday as a developed nation where medical facility is made available to every citizen. She made us understand that our troubles are very few in comparison to these people who cannot afford a decent treatment for themselves and their children in times of illness. If only we come together to contribute a decent amount towards the cause of providing them with basic medical facilities, we can do our part of being a responsible part of growing India.

Our grandmother left us but her vision and thoughts shall ever remain in us and that encourages us to be a donor in support of your good work. Please inform us as to how and where the donating amount has to be sent. It shall be a pleasure to be a contributor of your good cause.

We would appreciate if you could arrange for a plaque that would have the name of our beloved grandmother on it for it is because for her teachings that we believe in contributing towards the good cause. She had always wanted to help the unfortunate women of our country so if probable, we would like to have the maternity ward of the hospital have her named plaque.
