Sample letter to claim Compensation

I am writing this in regard to claim by compensation. Due to your merge with Abc Organizations, many employees were layed off I was one of them.

At the time of being layed off all employees were promised 3 months’ salaries as compensation. It has been 6 months since then I am yet to receive the compensation. I have a loan to my name and have to pay monthly installments. Since I was unemployed for 4 months and have just got a new job it has been difficult for me to pay these installments.

Therefore I request you to please release my compensation immediately as I am dire need of it. For your reference I have enclosed the documents in this regard. Please resolve this issue and ensure the payment.

I look forward to a quick resolution to my claim. Hope you will look into the matter and release the payment soon. Thanking you in anticipation.

I am writing to you in connection with the Air India flight no.AFG-345 from Mumbai to Frankfurt which I was booked onto on 12 February 2014..

The flight was supposed to depart from Mumbai at 11 p.m. but was cancelled due to technical reasons.

Under the Airports Authority of India Denied Boarding Regulation 45/2004, I opted to take the re-routing option.

However, I am entitled to the sum of Rs.42, 000 as compensation and look forward to receiving the equivalent within the next 15 days.

I am attaching a copy of the ticket for your reference and request to process the payment at the earliest.
