Sample letter to immigration officer for At Port of Entry
I, Raj Sharma, residing in E-521, Park Avenue, New York 08830, am writing this letter on behalf of my mother Mrs. Devika Sharma. She would like to enter United States on a visitor visa on March 20, 2014 to tour the country and spend time with me.
She plans to stay for six months and has already booked a return ticket for India for September 10, 2014. Due to her age and language barrier, I will be accompanying her in most of the places she would like to take a tour to. As I am working as a full time banker, I will be able to spend time with her only over the weekends.
I am attaching a tentative itinerary for her stay in the United States of America. Hence, I request you to kindly grant her a stay of 6 months in the Unites States.
Thanking you!

I work full time for the above mentioned company so it shall be difficult for me to opt for a long leave for taking my parents on a tour around the States. I, therefore request you to grant them a long stay of 6 months so that I could make arrangement for an official leave in between.
