Sex education should be made compulsory in schools.
Sex education should be made compulsory in schools.
At the start of this year, District of Columbia went ahead and implemented compulsory rules for sex education and HIV education in the public schools. It mandated the authorities to get the help in preparing the curriculum from medical professionals. It is seen as a debatable issue especially in the countries like India where focus is paid more on the traditional culture and values. However, with the changing time it seems many citizens of developing countries wants sex education to be made compulsory in schools. What is your point of view on the matter? Should sex education be made compulsory in schools?
Yes
• It will generate more sex awareness among teenagers, and they would be in a better position to understand the pros and cons of sex at young age.
• Sex education in school will provide children with the knowledge of understanding the intentions of ill-mined people and how to stay away from them.
• Parents don’t feel comfortable in talking about sex with their children and therefore, it becomes responsibility of school to provide the necessary education in right direction.
• There are many countries where teen pregnancy rate is high. The proper education will keep a hold on teen’s pregnancy rate.
• Sexual reproduction is just a part of science, and should be taught accordingly. The teachers should drop a conservative approach so that teens can know more about the sexual diseases and the adverse effects of sex in early age.
• Lack of sex knowledge from a reliable sources makes the children seek it from outside world which might not be vary safe. In lack of such knowledge they may become victims of improper sex life, broken relationships and depression. Proper sex education at school can protect them from all these.
• Lack of proper sex knowledge has led to girls popping iPill like a regular contraceptive pill without knowing its health hazards.
• With technological advancements, children have a very easy access to pornography. If not taught properly, they might end up in wrong friend circle spoiling their life.
No
• The sex education can have a negative impact on the thought process of teenagers and they can be diverted from their main studies.
• Human whether, adults or teenagers, have the tendency to try the things that are not considered safe. Sex education will promote the teenagers to move in wrong direction.
• There is a time for everything, and sex knowledge should be given at the right time and for the right reasons.
• Schools can’t be made responsible for providing sex information, as it is the responsibility of parents to tell their children about it.
• Sex knowledge in an open class that has teenagers from both the gender can infuse a mutual attraction between the two opposite genders.
• More than sex knowledge it is the moral values that need to be developed in the child and this can be done at home.
Conclusion
When with the changing world, everyone is adopting to the new techniques and fashion trends, why should sex education be denied in schools. People make a hype over sex education when in fact children seek all these information from various other sources. Instead of encouraging the children to opt for the information from the other sources that can misguide them, it is better to implement sex education in schools.

- sex education at school day is not a good time.it only create disturbance toward studies.the real sex education is only required in entertainment sector at teenage.if we really want to decrease the crime like rape, robbery, murder, kidnapping, sexual harrasment we want to oppose or ban such type of vulger movies and shows released for earning money and publicity.

- According to me
Sex Education must be taught in all the schools .As if there is no education about sex then it would result in more people doing sex without even correct knowledge about it .It would result in overpopulation which would cause more effect to the environment by many disease like AIDS,And also lead to economic loss. - RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Ratiranjan sahoo (10/16/15)
- hi friends this is Rati . My point is sex education is bad for before 10 standed students. just thing if a student knew about sex. then why he will stady ? then he think about negtive . then he apply that pubblic.so sex education is bater when a student complet tenth standed.

- Well, friends I don't think sex education should be mandatory in schools besides it, it would better work if taught by parents because in class the students(majority) didn't take intrest on extra topics that are out of their syllabus they just take it as lectures, but when it comes to parents many of the moral values the student pour up in his/her life is given by parents so it would be more effective if parents tend to acknowledge their childrens about sex education.
Thankyou. - RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -ankit bairagi (11/14/14)

- Definitely sex education must be given in school as this will enable adolescents to think logically and broadly. Also they will be aware of harmful effects of sex in early age. This will enable them to differentiate among good and bad touch. Finally this will led them to maintain healthy relationships with their counterparts. But school must manage this in the way that girls should be educated only by female mentor and boys only by male teachers as this will help them to understand things more better and there will be no chances of misconduct during lectures. Also the teachers can correlate with students more better and can clear their doubts effectively.

- hello friends, in my point of view sex education is mandatory in nowadays. because we are living in a modern world, and we cannot hide anything from the children. all students are using net . by that they know all bad things. to avoid this, they must be educated. but we should know, to whom we should give a sex education. only adolescents need the education and they will be properly trained to avoid in earlier ages. vulgar things must be avoided by this education. thank you.

- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -aadi (09/12/14)
- no, actually i think no need to make it as compulsory pgme in education before heigher secondary classes. because up to 14 its a teenage and very fluctuated and can astray the students from their actual path due to large interst in it.The pgme should be add in graduation classes so they can follow the instructions and can b understandable.

- Sex education should be mandatory in all schools
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -nicky singh (08/03/14)
- yes i do agree with the point that in developing country like india ,sex education should be made compulsory because ifwe take an eg some of states like up bihar mp chattisgarh where teen are abused and forced by their own elder relatives . i think sex education is most needed in village area because in city children or teen learn so much from school(our science book includes enough about awareness about sex) and the most casualty are occuring in urban area so the goverment should be more focused on these area ...........and parents should be more open about sex education with their children,........and definitely we copy every thing about western culture why not talking about sex
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -sadhana gupta (08/03/14)
- yes I do agree with the statement, already india is a poor country when the word 'sex'comes for an open discussion.when every technology, fashionable things ,westernization is being accepted.then why not sex?it will just help youngsters to think widely and accept the reality.matureness act very effectively and it can be a way to help them to clear their doubts which they find at this age, hence can prevent them from ill thinking and may prevent from depression confusion,at the same time country like india is at very back where parents feel comfortable to talk their child abot this matter.
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -mounika.R (08/02/14)
- hello everyone, i would like to share my views on this topic. i too think that sex education should be inculcated in schools. because today world has been developed scientifically, technologically. it is not so easy to hide anything from the children. they can see and know the things from the internet. so, if we don't give awareness about sex to them they will know it from the internet probably in a bad way. so, it is our duty to stop them in going a wrong way. we should create awareness about the physical changes and the other things. but children from 14+ should be a part of this programme. and it is the duty of teachers and management to provide the information in a healthy manner avoiding the absurd way.

- Sex Education must be compulsory in the school because Boyhood is like a unripe pot of clay which is on the wheel to get a shape. whichever shape you goes to give, it will get the same. If you give decent observation to the young's in youth, it will be beneficial in their future. Sex is topic which is to be discussed specially in the youth age. In the absence of sex education, youth are usually fallen in the bad habit of masturbation. If you do excessively it will cause harmful effect. Sperm in the men is the abstract of human body. Sperm should be reserve till 16 to 20 of age. If you are successful in doing so, your body will strong, there will be a spark on your face, your mental power will be sharp. If you discharge your sperm in excessively, your body will be weak, your memory will not be sharper and your concentration power will be effected. So Sex Education is a important part of life. you are successful in saving your youth from the bad habits your future, your carrier will be brighter.
Best of luck. - RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Deendayal Ahirwar (07/14/14)
- Hello Friends,
It is a very debatable topic and I also want to give my views on this----
Friends according to me Sex education should be compulsory in schools because, during schooling the students are in their adolescence period of age, and they feel some changes in themselves and so they may distract from their way or aim, soif there will be sex education the students will know the right way to do things at right time.--thank you - RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Raj (07/11/14)
- correction : students above 9th standard only
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Raj (07/11/14)
- I always lag behind in posting comments.
Well, as far as sex education is concerned, i strongly favour it.
* But of-course there must be certain guidelines for the teacher's to teach the contents in a highly professional and scientific manner.
* There should be no vulgarity in disseminating the information
* Students below 9th standard and above only
* last but the most important, it is the duty of the school administration to ensure that any misbehaviour is carefully handled (both from teachers as well as students side) - RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Vamshi (07/10/14)
- I strongly support ' Sex education for school children", As this Knowledge is very helpful to build the healthy young india,
and moreover at the age of 12-15 years many hormonal changes may occur and it also affect their psychological behaviour towards their opposite sex. so at that age Sex education becomes a crucial role to build their healthier life.
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Deepa Kaushik (07/10/14)
- It is a good step to impart sex education in schools. Children of the present era are very much outward in their thinking, mannerism and behaviour. They find the way out to search the various sources to find the details of each and every matter from the Internet.
In such a high-tech environment, we cannot hide anything from children. It would be wiser to provide them all the necessary details, including the sex education. It is the human tendency to search out for the source to find out the details that we try to conceal. Children being more inquisitive in general, have a high tendency for the same. So, it would be better to provide them, the details, making them aware of the physical differences, relationship and the pros and cons of the difference in their inborn physical make during their tender age of moulding mind.
Children should be made aware of the basic requirements of the sex education in schools, as it is the place where they can imbibe the matter with a regular state of mind. Such a knowledge in the co-education would make the grasping and accepting of the facts more easier and wiser in comparison to concealing the facts.
- RE: Sex education should be made compulsory in schools. -Sunil Patel (Patel Sahib) (07/10/14)
- According to my point of view it should not be there in India.
Here every boys or girls knows about the good and bad things.
They are studying together that is enough to teach them.
As I observed that every girls or boys are aware of these all things because of TV .
It will increase crimes ratio because if mentor talk any rubbish and a girl complaint against him than he would deny to accept it and would say that I was just giving the Information something like that........
It will also create the environment in the classroom to comment on someone .
Teacher is very honorable in the schools and equivalent to the God .
Rest you can understand very well.
Now a days if you are not in favor to talk any bad things in front of your children then how bad it would be if a teacher will talk these all things....
