Should Akhilesh Yadav step down from the post of Chief Minister on humanitarian grounds?
Should Akhilesh Yadav step down from the post of Chief Minister on humanitarian grounds?
Everywhere, whether it is news or media, just one word is grabbing the attention-Rape! 6 cases of rape in just 7 days have shocked the entire India. However, it seems that the Samajwadi Party in UP is still sleeping. The entire country is anxious about the increasing women crimes in Uttar Pradesh. In such a worsening scenario should Akhilesh Yadav step down from the post of Chief Minister on humanitarian grounds?
Yes
• The percentage of women crimes is increasing at alarming rate in UP that clearly reflects the mis-governance of Samajwadi party. If Akhilesh Yadav is unable to find the solutions, he should step down from the post.
• The conditions in UP can be termed as worse than the conditions in Taliban. There is no law and order in the state.
• Akhilesh Yadav has done nothing except from giving a mockery comment to solve the ongoing problem of rape cases.
• Akhilesh Yadav seems to reflect his father’s mind set who openly stated that Boys will be Boys! The entire party reflects the sick mind set.
• Even the United Nations is criticizing the state and also the country for not implementing the strict anti-rape laws.
• Samajwadi party classifies the criminals as per their caste and community. In their reign only communalism prevails!
No
• It takes some time to sort out the matters, and to find out some effective measures to put a stop to the ongoing problems.
• It can also be a part of political game to spoil the image of Samajwadi party just after the elections.
• The few instances cannot overshadow the good work of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav done in last two years.
• Stepping down is not a solution but is another way of running from the actual problem. It would be better to take a clearer path by finding effective solutions.
• Akhilesh Yadav is the leader who changed the “goondagardi” image of the Samajwadi party and became much popular among the masses.
• Up Chief Minister has seek for the CBI probe on the entire Badaun incident and it is the best thing that he can do at this moment.
Conclusion
There are more than 2000 cases registered related with the crimes like gangrape, communcal violence and gender violence in the first six months of Akhilesh rule. From that point to till this time, nothing has changed. In fact the conditions have worsened. Now it is the high time, and a time for change. If Akhilesh Yadav cannot take the charge of the problems in his state, he should opt to leave his post on all the grounds.

- Akhilesh yadav or mulayam don't even deserve to be in politics the son can only take forward his fathers deeds and akhilesh is doing an excellent job at it,I am not surprised at UP govt statements but sad seeing no interference from the central govt. as before the elections they talked about women security and now where is our home minister shri rajnath singh , i understand that food and other prices can not be brought down in a week time.but what govt. is doing for law and order.

- You cannot accept any form of humanitarian grounds from the CM of Uttar Pradesh.
The crime rate in UP will go on increasing and these people will go on giving ludicrous statements to the media.
The need of the hour is now a proper control from the Centre (if that is even possible in a federal country like ours) - RE: Should Akhilesh Yadav step down from the post of Chief Minister on humanitarian grounds? -deepak (06/06/14)
- After Delhi now Up is the crime hub because this is a state of criminal politician who elected so many times to parliament and how peoples will be safe in Up.

- Akhilesh Yadav is not at all a deserving person to hold the post of CM anymore. He has already stayed dumb regarding the law and order status in Uttar Pradesh. He definitely needs to step down from his post on every grounds.
He has done nothing than passing some irresponsible comments being at such a big position. He should have acted much prior regarding the women’s safety in his state. UP has been continuously under the trap of such brutal crimes against women. Too many rape incidences, with police involvement in the state, and the government staying dumb without any steps, in completely unacceptable.
The issue is not just a national concern, but this has created a shameful situation for the country internationally, with United Nations feeling hard for India for being incapable of regulating stringent laws favouring women’s safety.
With such a condition in the state, even the other criminals in the country will gain confidence for their offenses. This would prove to be the worst example with crime rate increasing throughout the country. Akhilesh Yadav should definitely take the responsibility for these incidences under his governance and step down from his post.

- Yes, Akhilesh Yadav must resign but indeed he will not as what we call humanity, he is devoid of that. His moronic comments on frequent rape cases under his ambit shows how senseless and irresponsible he is.Dozen of rape cases has been lodged in police within couple of days and more regretful is that policemen too have been involved in most of them.Women are raped, brutalised, their family is abused by the culprits and there is no action taken against them.Minorities are living hell in UP with no support from government. Is it for what we elect our leader that during nadir he will rub salt on our wounds?
