Should I take full time leave for civil services interview preparation
I have been working full-time and at the same time preparing for civil service examinations. I have already taken leaves for main exam preparations. Shall I apply for further leave during interview preparations too?
No, you need not take further leave after the main exams. Preparations for main exams needs complete concentration and dedication as compared to the interview preparations that can be done if you take out a few hours before or after work. What you need to take care of is the timing and dedication to not skip the preparatory hours for anything else. Obviously, you will have to ensure that you increase the hours of preparations as the date nears. This can be done alongside academics or a fulltime job as in your case. As the date of interview nears, you can consider taking a leave for a couple of days to get mentally prepared and relaxed, flushing out work pressure and any other distraction which might get you tired. If you are an outsider or non-resident of Delhi, then a leave is evident in correspondence to travelling schedule, for which you might apply in advance. Apart from these, if you have started the interview preparations late or joined a preparatory program, you might consider scheduling your work timing accordingly for the days that follow, temporarily. In either case, do remember to take a couple of days off to clear your mind and relax along with the final preparations. Good luck!
